It is recommended to book your hotel near a metro station. The metro is by far the best and fastest transport in Paris. Who goes to Paris with children and from here will visit Eurodisney, should choose a hotel near a station of the line RER A, then you are straight away on the right train to the city centre with all tourist attractions and Eurodisney and lose no time.
* Paris Public Transport

Paris is a compact city with a good and extensive public transport network. There driving many buses and many subway lines. Paris also has a very good train network (RER), which connects the various suburbs of Paris downtown. Of course you can always take a taxi, but sometimes it can be hard to get one.
Tickets for public transport:
The tickets for public transport in Paris are valid in the metro, bus and RER trains. You buy the tickets at the entrance of the metro stations at the counter or at a vending machine. Buy multiple tickets to take a "carnet". That's much cheaper than single tickets and get 10 pieces. The ticket is valid for a single trip through Paris.
